No but I probably should bc I feel like my washing machine has so many settings that I don't take advantage of.

We just got new appliances and I've skimmed the instructions for the dishwasher, range, and microwave. Reading the dishwasher settings and the cleaning features for the range were helpful. I should have read the range one better bc I used the quick clean feature for the first time yesterday and then checked the instructions and realized I did it totally wrong. Wasn't a problem but it was a waste of time.

With my oven I just read how to use the self cleaning feature quickly. Otherwise, no.

Re: Do you read instructions on major appliances

So I have follow up questions

1. Do you know to not leave a child unattended in a jacuzzi?

2. Do you know that hair can get caught in a jetted tub and pull a person down into the tub?

A child shouldn’t be in a jacuzzi ever. Even if attended by 50 adults.

Yes. That’s what suction does.

Well of course, that is common sense. I'm confused by your post though. Did you not know that?

I am 100% aware of this. I thought it was common knowledge, but there was a post on a local to me group chat and this parent made fun of me for saying while I am really sorry they saw someone else's child have this happen to them (child is alive, and this is not their kid or relative btw) that this is written in bold on the instructions. And it is a good reminder for everyone to read the instructions when in comes to products we let our kids use. She then went off the rails on me.

A child should never be unattended in any water, which of course includes jacuzzi tubs.

I actually wouldn’t think about my hair getting caught in a jetted tub! But if I’m in a tub my hair is usually up.

that is a good question. I consider it an appliance because I turn it on and off.

Honestly, this never would have occurred to me. We had a jacuzzi tub when I was a kid and my long hair and I took plenty of baths in it. It was our only tub at the time. I wasn't a toddler but maybe 7 or so at the youngest. My kids were in a big outdoor hot tub this summer (supervised) and no I never thought of that as a potential issue.
