Parents moving back North..suggestions for 55+ communities
My parents are selling their house in Florida and looking to buy a townhouse or apartment in the Northern Jersey or Fort Lee type area (centrally located to all of us).
Id like it to be no more than an hour drive from here (Nassau County) and my mom is really looking for a community as she likes to be involved/busy with things like cards or book club etc.
I started looking in the Woodbridge area but only saw rentals.
Any suggestions/thoughts would be great! Thanks!

My in-laws have a home in Bohemia in a 55+. They really like it. Club house has a lot of stuff going on that residents plan. The pool is “hopping” all summer long.

My co workers dad lives in a 55+ community in Oakdale. I can get info from her when I see her tomorrow. He is a widower, and has made tons of friends and really enjoys it there. He is always busy.
