Party food question
I'm having a holiday party - about 25-30 people. The food will be heavy on appetizers, but I will have either 3 full trays or 6 half trays of food. If I do 3 full trays, it will be something like a chicken dish (ie chicken francais), baked ziti and sausage and peppers. If I do 6 half trays it would be those same 3 and then 3 other dishes -something like an eggplant dish, a beef dish and maybe another chicken dish (plus salad, rolls etc)
I'm afraid that if I do the half trays will not be enough of each dish. Which would you do - the 3 full or 6 half trays?

The 3 full trays is fine! You can also add a salad and rolls.

I think you are fine with 3 full.
I feel like if you go to 6 half trays you will be stretching to find things- will end up with 2 chicken dishes, and not sure how great a beef dish would be, kwim?

I agree. I think 6 half trays may leave some people without something. Ex. - If everyone loves the sausage and peppers, more people will grab that over the other selections and it go faster.

That's' my fear too. But, I was looking at a package catering menu from a place I am thinking about ordering from and their package for 25-30 ppl is 6 half trays. That's what made me think maybe I should do that. But seems like 3 full is the way to go. Thanks

If there are a lot of apps. you can probably go 2.5 trays even...
Also wanted to add I'd do full tray pasta, full tray chicken and then maybe half sausage half eggplant
