Do you believe in an Afterlife?
The dying thread got me thinking...do you truly believe in an Afterlife?
I have to say that the idea for me had always been lovely, but I never truly believed. Until a few weeks ago.
I asked my grandma to send me a very specific sign to let me know that there is a paradise waiting for me. When I say very specific, it was really specific. I didn't want something that I could see or hear about everyday.
Anyway, weeks passed and nothing. I was bummed. Then one night, I had been talking to both her and my dad. Me and him never really had a relationship so, in my head, if there is an Afterlife, I'm kind of excited to see him again.
Well, later that night, I'm scrolling through my phone and boom! I see the exact thing I asked her to show me.
And, two weeks ago, I had to put our dog to sleep and the next day, a very sunny day I might add, there was THE most beautiful rainbow in the sky.
Needless to say, now I believe.
How about you?

I believe there is. I have my doubts about some stuff, but I believe that there is “something” I also believe that souls return as well. One of the things I notice about people when meeting them is whether they are an old soul or a new one. I can see it almost immediately in their eyes. So I guess I also believe we can come back if we choose to.
At least I hope so

I like the idea of it but I am really unsure about believing in it. It's nice to think there might be something else (or better) on the other side and we'll get to reunite with those we loved and lost but logically it makes no sense to me. I guess one day, we'll all find out.

This is kind of how I feel. But I guess because it's the unknown so it's hard to wrap our brains around it you know?

Honestly, no. I think we all just hope there is a “better place” to take away some of the fear and emotional pain of death.

I do. It might sound silly, but ever since my grandmother passed away, I always see blue jays. So just to make myself feel better I started associating her with them and now whenever I'm having a bad day or just thinking about her, one always crosses my path. Recently, I was in an antique store and all of a sudden I smelled what her house use to smell like. I laughed and said "Ok, if it's you, show me a sign". I walked a little further in and right there in a cabinet was a beautiful small statue of a blue jay. Might be all a coincidence but I do believe it all.

I truly believe. It started in 2001 after my mom passed. Soon all the remaining family members passed (Brother, Dad, Grandma) and in some way have touched my life since their passing, but have moved on...with the exception of my mom. I don't know how to explain it but I feel her presence often. There are signs, and I've even been to a medium group thing where she has come through with very specific messages to where I know she's been with me all this time.

No. For my idea of "heaven" to exist, it has to completely break a large number of other people's idea of their "heaven"...

Yes but I don’t think everything is a “sign”. And there are thinks that happen that make me think of my grandparents, all have passed on, but I don’t look for things. But this is me, I don’t care what anyone else says or does. What you believe is your business.

I do believe but I always wonder if the concept of heaven was a made up thing back in the day to keep people in check. LOL
I definitely believe (and hope!). Anytime I have any doubts, I watch LI Medium and she has to be talking to someone, right?

Same.
The idea seems like it would be nice, but then if we're talking about Heaven and Hell - then not everyone goes to Heaven.
As much as I'd like to believe, I also don't believe in karma, signs, or anything else like that. I think life is a series of random events or coincidences and we can try to find patterns to go along with our narrative, but realistically, it's just random.

I feel like when you are in a deep sleep and don’t realize you slept so long and don’t remember any dreams that’s what happens when you die
You just fade away
I do like hearing people’s stories but I find them all coincidences
