I hate my job. Friday vent.
2442 days until my retirement date.
Oh give me the strength to last that long without going freaking ballistic.

I'm sorry! At least there is a light at the end of the tunnel! I am in the "I hate my job" category too lol. Been getting more and more work with no increase in pay. But I feel like I am stuck and can't go anywhere due to my family situation.

It could be worse:
I just calculated how many more days I have:
10 years, 10 months, 10 days 
or
8 years, 10 months, 10 days if we can live for 2 years on DH's pension alone....

I hate my job. Friday vent.
When I saw this post, I was curious about how much time I had left. Since I work for an MTA agency, I can retire at age 57. I'm 53, so not counting weekends, I have less than 1,000 days left to work! That really made me feel old! LOL!!

Our department admin gave notice two weeks ago, today is her last day.
TPTB have not yet begun interviewing anyone to replace her.
Soooooo, in the meanwhile, I have to "help out".
I am an analyst, have no idea how to do admin stuff. I am expected to handle the general manager's calendar and his expense reports. WTF ???
I HAVE NO CLUE HOW THAT WORKS.
I am sick and tired of getting dumped on because I am the American girl in a department full of Japanese.
No one to complain to in HR because my rep quit, the VP died last year and was not replaced, the head of HR was forced out in July. The new Head of HR is one of the corporate lawyers.
I am just so sick of this $hit.

I have so years left.... I’ll have a substantial amount of state time about 37 when I can retire but my age puts my retirement date for my pension at 61.... and no matter how much time I can’t retire before 61 without penalties

can't blame you! but you're in the countdown. get the retirement countdown app. i love it! when i'm down i pull it up and instantly feel better
