Good casual middle of the road restaurant in NYC
Looking for a good casual restaurant in NYC. Will be going to MSG for a game first, but it doesn't have to be in immediate area. Bar food okay too. Looking for something decent but not fancy.

The rooftop restaurant/bar is nice at the Renaissance hotel right there near MSG.

Tavola for Italian/brick oven style pizzas is a few blocks away . It's good, but it's a bit small so it might fill up fast.
Brothey Jimmy's for bbq as pp mentioned is close to MSG .
Also Casa Nonna on 38th is very good
