Shoes in your house
Do your kids keep their shoes in their bedrooms or do they kick them off by the front door?

We don’t wear shoes in the house. It’s not a rule or anything, we just don’t. There’s a perpetual pile of men’s size 10 shoes at my front door thanks to my husband and 2 sons.

Shoes in your house
My DD takes off her shoes as soon as she gets in and puts them on the stairs. They make their way upstairs into her closet by the end of the night,

Shoes they do not wear often, like dress shoes and snow boots are in their bedroom closets. Everyday shoes and sneakers the kids take off when they get in the house and they go in the entryway closet.

We have a bench that has three cubby spots with baskets for everyone’s every day shoes
All the shoes are somewhere next to that bench.
Alllll the shoes are all around the bench.
Church shoes are in bedroom closets
Snow boots are in basement with winter crap

Same here. They each keep the 2 pairs they wear most in a wire basket in the hall closet. Crocs or flip flops go in a wire basket by the back door. Everything else goes in their bedroom closet.

No one wears shoes in the house - even guests if a small number of people. I don't want all the dirt and junk all over my floors.

This, but if it's small company or just our close friends they take off their shoes bc they have the same rules as us.
I find it easier to keep the house clean having a shoe free house. I do vacuum and mop frequently too. Especially bc I have a dog. LOL
We have a hallway behind the garage door that the shoes are lined up at and also a closet where other shoes are kept in there. Most of my nice shoes are in the closet on shoe racks

I'm way too dirty a person to worry about shoes in the house, but since getting my new hardwood floors I do not wear high heels on the hardwood at all. But that's just because I spent a friggin' fortune on those floors and don't want dents. So my heels-which I wear pretty much 5 days a week- come off at the door.

Shoes in your house
We go in through the garage and take our shoes off in the laundry room. When we get ready to go out we all put our shoes on and walk around the house for a few until we leave, but very rarely do we come home and keep them on.

He goes to his room and takes them off, but we live in an apartment. In the old house unless the weather was bad he would take them off upstairs in his room.

Shoes in your house
They always take their shoes off before stepping into the main part of the house. But like many of you, they don't always make it into the shoe bench in the foyer until I bug out and my head spins around like a demon

OMG...same here. I had to buy one of those cubbys, to put them in so it looks neat, and so my puppy doesnt chew them all

Shoes in your house
We come in through the kitchen so there’s nowhere to put them right when we come in. Kids usually take them off and leave them in the kitchen. I wear them until I’m situated. Husband also leaves his shoes wherever. My kitchen is the size of a closet and I have yet to find a solution for this. I’d really like a place to take the shoes off right away because I hate the floors getting dirty

i've never had a shoe-free house.
but i'm starting to think that i will implement the practice the next time i move/buy. i'm getting older and just don't want to spend the rest of my life cleaning.

We don’t normally wear shoes in our apartment. When guests come over I give the a choice. But most homes here have “house shoes” that are given to guests to wear, so it’s no shoes in the house. I don’t have those shoes yet.
