Lake House
I am looking to rent a lake house next summer. Not looking to travel further than 5 miles. Anyone have a recommendation. I know Lake Placid and Lake George are popular but does anyone recommend a specific place/house or realtor??

There are lots of Lake Rentals near Lake George, Loon Lake, Lake Luzerne and White Mountain Lake.

My neighbors used to rent a house on Babcock Lake in Grafton, NY. I went a few times over the years, it was such a nice community.

There are also great lake communities in PA. Smaller lakes but still a good time and only 2.5 hrs away.

I second this. My parents have a house in this area and we camp at Promised Land State Park every year.
