WWYD? (if anything)
I was shopping in Macy's the other day. Took a bunch of things to the fitting room to try on. The fitting room was full - there was one person ahead of me waiting. After a few minutes someone left, so the person ahead of me went to that fitting room. As I'm now waiting for another room to open up, I realize there is a woman in the first dressing room talking on her phone - and talking and talking and talking - about nothing, basically. About where she was going for lunch, about her Dr's appointment scheduled for next week, blah, blah blah.
And now there are more people behind me, also waiting for a fitting room to open up. And she's still talking away. So, I knocked on the door of the fitting room - just so she would know people were waiting. Made no difference, she yelled out "I'm in here" and just kept blabbing away, obviously not trying on clothes while she was talking. Of course another fitting room eventually opened up and I went to that one, but would you have said something to the woman on the phone? Done anything else?

I definitely would not have said anything to the woman in the dressing room because as my husband says, "You never know who that person is or what they could do." I may have said something to an associate, though.

Edited to add: she may have been trying on clothes at the same time. Unless you could clearly see a shadow of her just sitting there. I often multi-task catch up on a call while trying on a ton of crap lol I’ll stop and take pictures and send tot he person I’m talking to for advice

How do you know if she was trying on clothes or not? I would file this situation in MYOB. You never know what is going on in someone’s world and she wasn’t being intentionally malicious. Neither one of you are entitled to timely dressing room access.

i would have done exactly what you did... nothing more, though.
knock to let them know people are waiting, but nothing more.
she could have been distracted by the conversation and forgotten about people outside, so it is a polite reminder.
but with wireless headsets, she could just as easily been trying on clothes while talking and/or nursing a baby.

You can tell if someone is changing clothes while trying to keep their phone by their head. You can hear hangers being moved, clothes being changed. You can tell. This woman was just talking on the phone - definitely wasn't trying on clothes at the same time

No baby - I saw her when I was done. Honestly it didn't cross my mind that MAYBE that's what she was doing, but there was zero indication of that. Not one little baby sound or anything like that

I wouldn’t have said anything. If I was in a rush, I would have used a fitting room in a different area of the store.
With that said, I’m pretty much always on my phone in fitting rooms. It’s the only alone adult time I get and I talk to my sister the whole time. Lol.

Or maybe she was just hogging the dressing room cause she sucks.
