Many companies have flexible work situations now but a strict work from home many aren’t legit.

My current company will let you work from home here and there. My old company it was with approval from your manager. Neither are full time work at home.

Re: work from home

the company i work for... in the department i'm in... has positions that can be done occasionally from home. i want to say that there are some positions that allow it more than others. you just have to show your face every now and again, plus there are some aspects of the software that cannot be accessed remotely.

a few years ago, i had a legit work from home job... but the pay was almost nothing and i was expected to be available more than 8 hours. i ended up quitting after only a few months. i won't lie, i liked working in my pajamas.

There are many options for working from home. My husband works in Technology and works from home every day. When I was working, they made all support staff work from home and only come into the City one day a month. That was a financial company. My sister also works from home doing HR for a company. My friends who work from home all do one of those Marketing Programs, Arbonne, Origami Owl, etc.

Re: work from home

I work for a fortune 500 and I work from home 2 days a week, some weeks 3.

I think a lot of companies are moving towards desk sharing as it obviously saves them $$ on space.

My DH works for a Fortune 500 company and could work from home every single day if he wanted. In fact, one of his old coworkers did just that with no issues. He came in 1-2 times a month.

My mom was a medical transcriptionist for 20 years and worked from home exclusively (she would drop tapes back and forth before the days of the Internet).

I’m a teacher and I work from home certain parts of the year. I do freelance, so I’m not sure if that is a factor.

Basically, I go in 10 hours a week. The other days I mark papers and prep. The teaching hours here for full time are about 20 hours a week.

However, I may be coming from another angle here.

But, I love working in my bed and getting stuff done.

My job doesn’t but I work in health care. However, Telehealth is starting to become a “thing” in psychiatry so who knows what the future holds

I am an accounting consultant and i work from home but I only have a part time job. It's 10-15 hours per week. The money is not great compared to what I would be making if I was full time but I have a lot of flexibility and the work is pretty easy for me. It also helps bridge the resume gap from when I was a stay at home mom should I want to go back full time in the future. I completely lucked into this job thou as my boss used to work for my husband.

I know someone who works for a staffing agency. She is able to work from home but she did work for a few years in the office before they allowed for her to work from home.

Yes recruiting is something you can definitely do from home.
Many of the recruiters I work with are based out of their home.
