how long do you give?
you reach out to a vendor and they don't reply.
being that it's vacation time, how long do you give a small business owner to reply before moving on to finding someone else?

how long do you give?
Had someone contact me about a service I need, last Thursday - I missed his call and called back Friday. Didn't hear from him again so contacted someone else today (figured I'd give him a pass for the weekend, but expected to hear back from him yesterday)

In 2019, when there is so much technology, with cell phones, call forwarding, ability to have one number call a dozen different phones, etc, etc. There is no reason that a vendor can't return your call within a few hours.
Even if their answer is "Sorry, I'm on vacation until X, can I call you back on Monday". At least you should get some type of response.

Exactly. After not hearing from the first guy, I contacted 4 more yesterday and they all got back to me (by text) within a few minutes. I was able to hire someone for what I need within an hour of my calls
