So like I said, I can see booking the venue if they allow you to book 3 years in advance and you have the date that soon.
But what are you doing for 3 years other than that? Even for a wedding?
I can't imagine.
Other than picking the place eventually I wouldn't book too much after that. Put down a down payment for a place, look at DJ's and then the rest can wait. Those are the main things to hold for the date. I did see the list already is getting long for 2022 (the year my son, a lot of his friend's and locals will be having bar/bat mitzvah's). We live in a big Jewish area so it is good to book sooner than later so you're guaranteed the date.
My son is sports crazed so I'm sure it will be a fun sports theme, but that part I have time for. Like i said, place and DJ and the rest can come. Not doing it tomorrow though. Promised next winter we'll start looking.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah craze!!
And imagine the place you book 3 years ago goes out of business. I mean it could happen to anyone at any time, but I remember this happening with some LIW's.

True, that can happen any time though.
It is 3 years from yesterday, but not booking yet anyway. Just gonna start looking in winter around 2 1/2 - 2 years.
