need help finding this...

So i have these black pendant lights but they look unfinished because it's just like a wire hanging from the ceiling. there's nothing at the top, like a ceiling plate or cap, that makes it look finished.

I can't find a black ceiling plate anywhere, and I'm not sure if I'm searching correctly. Also, because they're already hung, I am looking for something that can like butterfly open and secure around the light and we can just like glue it to the top or something... does that make sense??

Here's two pics of the lights:

Search Pendant Light Plate.
I did a quick search on amazon and a bunch came up

Not sure about one that will butterfly open (I know what you’re looking to do just not sure it exists) you may have to detach the wire from the light fixture itself and run it thru the plate then reattach

Yea there's plenty, but we don't want to take apart the whole light at this point. Was hoping to find something that can attach more easily :(

Aren't the junction boxes for the electrical supposed to be on the outside of the drywall? How could you ever change this fixture if it broke other than opening up the drywall?

Hmmmmm the only other thing I can think of is maybe getting small plaster or plastic medallion that you can cut in half and then glue together and then paint it. Won’t be able to see the split.

Saw this on home Depot site

So they already exist in 2 pieces

I’m surprised they didn’t come with a matching plate. But they look awesome, I’m sure you’ll find a cover.

If you find a white plate cover, spray paint it matte black.

apparently they did, but apparently the top piece was very large and it didn't look right because the length of the wire is pretty short where we hung them. Dh said it didn't look good. I bought two 5-inch ceiling medallions that I am going to spray paint matte black. I'll take a pic when it's all done

All done! I like how they came out and it definitely looks more finished now Chat Icon

We bought 4 inch medallions, cut them from one end to the center, and drilled a hole into the center so the wire would fit. I spray painted them black, and after they dried we were able to wiggle it around pretty easily. I plan to just take a small paintbrush dip it into the spray paint can to touch up the area we cut open
