Applying foundation with a brush

I recently started doing it and I feel like it's so much better! I didn't change my foundation. I feel like it stays on longer!

Anyone use a brush?

I used to use a brush and liked it, then I tried the blender sponges and loved those even more. I only use the sponges now.

I use a brush too and love it! I was buying Mac makeup at Nordstroms once a couple of years ago and I forgot my shade so he applied it to me and then I wound up getting talked into buying the foundation brush and now I LOVE it.

Re: Applying foundation with a brush

I hate using a brush. I feel like it moves the foundation all around and leaves brush marks.
Also, I have textured skin and it only accentuates the texture more.
Make up artists recommend stipling it on with a beauty blender over brushes if you have any kind of texture actually.

I've never tried the brush.
I use a sponge and like the way it covers and blends.

I've tried it and i don't like it. I felt it swirled and left bristles on my face. I use a damp beauty blender or my hands..

One of the Mac brushes. It's white on the end... that's all I know. Had it for a while and love the Mac brush cleaner too.

If you like the brush try a beauty blender! For me it’s magical! You have to wet it, squeeze the water out then apply your foundation but it’s life changing! You can get a knock off at Marshall’s the real ones are pricy, not crazy like $20 but I find the fake one work just as well

The Real Technique ones- the orange ones- at Target and Ulta and the drugstores work great- and are like $5-$6

I dab with my fingers or a wedge sponge but then use a brush to spread and blend.

Thanks for posting. That looks like a brush I would use, so I bookmarked it. I hope I remember when I shop.

Yup! Used my fingers for years but it comes out so much better with a brush and so much more sanitary (as long as your brushes are clean Chat Icon )

Re: Applying foundation with a brush

for me it depends...some brushes look flawless others look streaky. sometimes i go over with a sponge to even it out. also depends on the foundation itself. i have really good skin and foundaton is getting harder and harder to use it seems lol
