When you stop bringing a stroller on vacation

So at least for the smaller amusement parks we are ready to go stroller-less (Disney probably still will). Not worried about the kids needing it but no idea how to carry all the "stuff" without itChat Icon

What are good options? Just a travel backpack? Are these doable if your going on rides and stuff?

And normally we each have our own water bottle but cant see carrying a backpack with 4 water bottles. Does everyone just share 1 bottle with the kids or is there a travel water bottle with cups?

Backpack is perfect. They will refill at Disney. DH and I each carrier a backpack and there was no problem when going on rides. Some rides it went at our feet and some they had a space for it. Never put anything of value in there.
Water bottles, snacks, autograph books, small umbrella and panchos, Lysol wipes, sunscreen, chaptsick etc.

We live close to great adventure and I don't even bring anything with me anymore there. My boys are 9 and 7. They carry their own water bottles in and then we refill.

Anything of value DH carries all the stuff in his wallet. i give him my DL and that's all. We don't need anymore money or CC's.
Probably stopped using a stroller when my youngest was 4 to big parks. When he was 5 and my older was 7 they walked. First time we went to Disney they were 2 and 4 so brought a double stroller. We went last year they were 8 and 6 and no stroller. Just the backpacks.

It was hard!!! Especially at Hershey when my kids play all of those games and win crap.

I brought a large crossbody. We also bring a larger ba and store it in a locker since we usually go to the water park while we are there (the only place we have gone that I missed the stroller was Hershey).

Hershey is a shit ton of walking! I wore flip flops last year and destroyed my feet! I now know sneakers are a must!
But we do the same with a locker, since we go to the waterpark then do dry rides later
Then just a cross body for me.
I don't ride a lot of rides though so I am usually the one guarding the bags!

I usually wear a crossbody bag and my Dh wears a backpack. We bring refillable water bottles. My DD even wears a small backpack sometimes with her water bottle and wallet (for souvenirs).

We go without much stuff (to Disney).

I have a wallet and one refillable water bottle (unless someone is sick)... more so because the youngest stinks at drinking from a fountain. I put both in my purse.
We apply sunscreen once in AM. I use a small container of that... so easy to put in too.

Honestly... you don’t need more than a credit card.

Stopped going with a stroller at 3. But my kids all love to walk.

my boys are 8 and 5 now. when we travel, i switch everything to a backpack instead of my usual purse. thats enough to fit everything we need fr the day. i usually just carry one refillable water bottle for all of us to share, travel sizes of sunscreens to reapply, a billion snacks LOL, one of those small travel first aid kits in case we need a bandaid or something, a rechargeable battery pack thing for our phones (because the kids usually run them down playing on our phones in the lines...)

Have you ever used the Fuel Rod at Disney parks? They have them at airports, etc. also. I just bought one at Disneyland. Life changing! Don't have to carry numerous battery packs, and you just put the drained pack into the vending machine, and it spits out a charged one! I did that several times since at Disney you drain your phone from booking fast passes! Super convenient, and totally worth the $30 price.

We only ever go to Disney. I carry a crossbody because I wear glasses and need to switch back and forth with sunglasses. It also holds my phone and credit cards/ID. DH carries nothing. DD carries a backpack with whatever she feels she cannot leave behind. I don't carry water bottles because all quick service locations give free ice water. We go back to resort in the middle of the day, so sunscreen gets reapplied before we head back out. There are first aid locations in all the parks.
