Craigslist for a job?

Are people still checking craigslist? My office is looking for a medical assistant and I am not getting much in terms of responses. Just curious if that is old school these days and if people aren't using it anymore?

Re: Craigslist for a job?

100%

We listed a few positions on Craigslist & indeed. Craigslist had the most responses and was only $25! Indeed is highway robbery

So now we use CL exclusively and always get people from there. Try changing your format, make sure you are listed in the right category, etc

Also, if you’re on FB, there are a bunch of local job listing pages that you can get hits from as well.

I'm looking for a job right now and it never occurred to me to check Craigslist! I thought Craiglist was just good for apartments and unsavory activity. I guess I will check the job listings now!

I find Indeed to be much better. Just use the free option, I rarely pay to use it.

Re: Craigslist for a job?

I remember we used to post jobs on Craigslist because it was free.
They charge now?

Yea. It’s $25 per category you want it listed in.

So if it’s an admin job and in medical and you want to post it to LI and NYC
That would be $100 for the month

It used to be free a while ago. I always posted there when I was looking for help at my print shop a million moons ago.

I also use this when advertising open positions as well. We always have a great turn out.

Indeed is good too- we never pay for the sponsored ads and still get a decent amount of applicants.
