Donut Spinoff- Best Thing You Ever Ate LI addition
I remember doing this a few years ago and got some great ideas for restaurants and menu items on it. Post yours below!
Patrizia's- Money Purse Pasta (I forget the real name) but it's their specialty pasta and DELICIOUS- worth mentioning, made with mushrooms in the sauce. I HATE mushrooms but adore this pasta
Brownstones- Sophia's Berry Farm crepe (crepe with fresh berries & strawberry sauce & fresh whipped cream) I add banana. YUM!
Zim Zari- Brisket tacos with pickled red onions and an avocado cream (not sure it's a permanent menu item) Also love their margaritas, buffalo cauliflower and upside down nachos

Salad dressing from Greek Street.
The snider hero from Se-port.
Berry jam at Morning Rose.
And not LI but Rosa’s Sicilian. I will fight anyone who claims better pizza.

Those crepes sound really good!
Mesquite Tex-Mex in Wading River - I tried a bunch of different tacos from this place and they were all AMAZING!
Morning Rose Cafe in Bellmore - Long wait, small place so gets crowded and closes early but SO worth it. I can't pick a favorite item on the menu because everything is delicious!
Fat Boys Burrito in Bellmore - so many awesome combos on the menu, including jackfruit tacos.
Snaps bistro in Wantagh - insane burgers.
Cake Gallery in Bellmore - they have these super filled jelly croissant donuts dusted in cinnamon sugar that are insanely delicious. They're only available certain times though.
Maureen's Kitchen in Smithtown - 2 words: oreo pancakes! But really, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Never ending crowds. Cute cow theme.

I will go to bat with you for Rosa's! In fact, at first glance I misread your post and thought it said there's a Rosa's on LI. My immediate reaction was "OMG where???" I got all excited for a second. What a let down when I read it again lol I miss being able to walk over for a slice.  We should start a new thread, "why can't LI get its fuking act together and make a decent pizza? It's sauce, cheese, and dough, why do you suck so bad at it??" Sorry if that offends, but it's the truth.

Not even a little. I moved from Queens 3 years ago and I have tried about 6 different pizza places by me. They're all okay, but goddamn I want my Queens Pizza!

The freaking Typhoon Roll at Monsoon. I dream at night about that.
And while there the Tempura Fried Oreos are to die for as well
The salad dressing at Parkway Grilled Chicken- actually the whole salad with chicken in it including the pita bread they give you with it
The cupcakes at Smallcakes... so damn fresh and amazing

No, we’ve tried it all and nothing comes close. The only place we don’t hate is Brooklyn Square in Seaford. Their Sicilian is knockoff Rosas with the sauce on top, which I refuse to order because it’s the pizza equivalent of a canal street gucci. But their regular is pretty good, better than Rosa’s because Rosa’s regular sucks. It’s not New Park or anything but it’s good.

Also, the pumpkin soup from Athena in Amityville. They only have it in the fall, but I will drive from Lake Grove to get it a couple of times a season. It's SO good!

See I like Rosa's regular slices! But even better is their chicken francese slice. Oh my gahhhh it's so good. I always want two but can barely get through one.
They did open up a new pizza place by me in Lynbrook- John Anthony's- and it's pretty good. Except we got zeppoles and it was literally like a roll with powdered sugar.  So now I'm a little turned off by them.

If it's the patchogue store, take a walk across the street to kilwin's. Get some salted caramel fudge or ice cream. You will not regret it!

Donuts from Glenn Wayne Bakery
Anything at Buttercooky Bakery...
for regular food, (not just junk), my tastes are always changing or restaurants go from good to bad to good for me, so my favorites always rotate lol.
But I love Eddie's Pizza.
And the fried clams and clam chowder from Peter's Clam Bar are a summer staple for me.

On the topic of pizza, the best pizza I have had locally is from Saverio's in Massapequa. It's brick oven and delicious. And although not typical pizza, I also LOVE the philly cheesesteak pizza from Anthony's Coal Fire!

Anthony's Coal Fire is sooooo good.
It's not for when you have a NY "real" pizza craving but man it's delicious and hits the spot when I crave it.

We like Anthony's. Have to drive to LI to get it, coal ovens are not allowed in NYC.
Is it bad that our standard order (large salad, 10 wings and 6 slice pizza) is known at several locations across the island ?

There's a soup dumpling place up near LIJ in NHP that's incredible (can't remember the name)
Ranchero Nachos at Pancho's Cantina in Island Park
