Why is half of my kids laundry pajamas?
They must wear a new pear every day! I'm not home in the morning when they get up to tell them they CAN wear then another day so... Hold cow, laundry!

Re: Why is half of my kids laundry pajamas?
Haha I was thinking the same exact thing today. Although I wear the same pajama pants a few times I can’t wear the shirt twice so I am hesitant to enforce the “wear twice” rule with their pajamas. They are sweaty children. Ode to the laundry mountain!

Re: Why is half of my kids laundry pajamas?
I thought the SAME thing last night. But I let her wear her jammies for multiple nights if she changed in the morning. So I just don't know HOW it happens.
Though I think it might just be the particular hamper I was going through- the one in her room, rather than the one in the bathroom where she removes her clothes from the day rather than her pajamas.

Why is half of my kids laundry pajamas?
We recently started wearing pjs 2 times. It was taking too long to put laundry away and there wasn’t much room in the draw and I refused to make a second pj draw.

This is a constant war with us. That and pants. I really can’t do 21 pair of kids PJs and another 21 pairs of pants a week. 21 pairs. OMG.

We wear pj’s 3x unless there’s an incident where they need washing, or if they’re sick. If they put them in the hamper I fish them right out!!

Re: Why is half of my kids laundry pajamas?
I think when kids are babies they wear new pjs nightly because the chance of a blowout milk drool is high. So they are then just used to wearing a new pair of pjs. Once potty trained, you really can transition them to wearing pjs 3x before washing. We had a talk with the kids and then they understood it as part of growing up.

Re: Why is half of my kids laundry pajamas?
There is no reason to wash PJ's every time they are worn unless they are babies and shitting and spitting up in them.
My DD goes several nights on a pair- as do I.
It's wasteful. How dirty are they getting? They are sleeping in them, not running around outside in the mud.

My 6yo eats oatmeal every morning during the week and CANNOT not spill on herself. It drives me nuts but she really does need her pajamas washed after one wear bc of that. Her motor skills are not the greatest so it is what it is.

Well in that case of course. But if nothing spills on them I never saw the need to wash them so often.

Re: Why is half of my kids laundry pajamas?
Same here, my DS wear them twice or sometimes tries everyday and I have to tell him to change.
I think it's because if we don't go anywhere on the weekends he may stay in them all day or shower and put new Pjs on (lol). He wears uniform to school, so I think that is why 80% of what I wash for him are PJs.

Why is half of my kids laundry pajamas?
My kids too I change pajamas daily and with the winter, my one refuses to get out of his pajamas, daily he screams “I stay I. My pajamas” I actually took him to Costco in his pjs last week. Luckily they don’t go to school yet and I’m home most days but still the kid will only wear sweats out and I have to tell him they are pajamas my kids eat breakfast and sometimes dinner in pajamas so they need to be changed at least 2x a day some days

Re: Why is half of my kids laundry pajamas?
My son sweats profusely at night- to the point that he smells. There is no way we can repeat jammies. I just deal with the mountain of laundry.

That could totally happen in my house lol. My youngest used to want to change into pjs by 2 in the afternoon and some days she'd be on her third pair by bedtime just bc she fell like changing them. I couldn't keep track of what was clean and what was dirty so it was a lot of laundry.
