Elderberry Syrup! I take it every day as a preventative, but if you do get sick, you can take it I think 4 times a day. It has been life changing for me.

My husband swears by drinking a few hot toddy's before going to bed - it clears the sinus' and helps you sweat out the cold

Us too. It’s so magical. And I’m not going to talk about how long it’s been since we were sick and jinx it.

Definitely Elderberry. I happen to buy the gummies. Chew a few a day; you will be better in no time. Most drug stores carry.
Sambucol Elderberry is what is called.

Re: How to shorten the life of a cold???????
Sambucol for sure. Since I started taking it over 4 years ago I have not needed a zpac at all.
I don't take it preventatively (although they say you should) - I just take it when I feel a cold coming on and most of the time it really lessens it to just a runny nose type situation for a few days.
I swear by it like others have said.
