Twins and bday parties
If you have twins in different school classes, how do party invites work.
I’m assuming it’s like any other sibling - the kid in class with the bday child is invited, the other is not.
Am I wrong?

Re: Twins and bday parties
You mean if you were inviting a class and someone in there had a twin?
For us it’s 50/50. Sometimes my other one gets invited. Sometimes not
It really all depends how well we know them. Kids from last year/sports teams etc. we always get both invited
The rest may not even know they have a twin

Twins and bday parties
DS had twin A in K, twin B in first.
For his bday party in first, we extended the invite to twin A only because he KNEW the twin.
If he didn't know the twin, we still might have invited him because it was a home party. If it was a pay per kid party, probably not.

Re: Twins and bday parties
I think if you know both kids you invite the twin. I also think it makes a difference is they are the same sex. If I am having a boy party I would only invite the boy twin for the party and not a girl.

If your child is only friends with 1 then I would invite the 1.

Twins and bday parties
My twins are in 2nd grade. They have both been invited to parties of the kids they are mutual friends with. A lot of classmate parties though only one twin has been invited. I guess it all really depends on if they both are friends with the birthday child.

Re: Twins and bday parties
I’d agree with you unless you have a relationship with the family or your child knows the sibling well. For instance, not twin, but we always invite my dd’s friend’s younger sister because we are friendly with the family.

Re: Twins and bday parties
I had to explain to my kids that they would be going to separate bday parties this year. So may daughter has been to 4 without her brother and my son has been to 2 without his sister. At first they didn’t get it and were upset. But now they truly understand. It took a little bit but they do get it now!

Re: Twins and bday parties
I think you are right...the twin in the class gets invited, the other one does not. I would treat it as any other sibling to be honest. Unless you have a relationship with the family in which case I would invite both.
