Middle School Teacher gift
My DD is in her first year in middle school and changes classes/teachers throughout the day. Need advice on whether or not to give the individual teachers gifts??

Middle School Teacher gift
I'm giving them all gifts, minus the crotchety gym teacher. Our middle school 6th graders have the same teacher for 4 periods throughout the day though, so it's not that many people to buy for.

I am not giving gifts anymore to the sixth grade teachers. There are nine classes, and two teachers per class.

DS is in 8th. I didn't give any last year but this year we got something VERY small for the orchestra teacher and ELA teacher (because she has really been great with extra help for him). He didn't want to get for anyone else.

My sister is a 7th grade math teacher and she still does get gifts however I don't think it is expected at all. Once you reach MS then you have a lot more teachers to buy for.

I teach HS and rarely get more than 2-3 gifts. I usually get gifts from kids that I go above and beyond for.
It is definitely not expected, but it is nice to feel appreciated - especially if the teacher has done a great job.

I agree. My middle school DD will get for teachers she has both in class and in a club, or who teach her orchestra/ensemble and private lesson or someone who has gone above and beyond.

My DH is a middle school teacher and he may come home with 4 or 5 gifts around Christmas time. They are typically from kids who he may have given some extra help to etc.
I don't think it's necessary to give to each teacher in middle school.
He doesn't expect anything.

I'm giving to my dds middle school teachers. I am doing popcorn cones from popcornopolis with a gift card attached. I really like her teachers this year.
