I feel like all the present day story lines are getting so predictable. I enjoy the flash backs way more.

Beth's background was my favorite episode by far. Did she mention ever that her dad passed before? If so, I don't recall. But seeing her dad, mom and family as she was growing up was an enjoyable episode. Her dad was so sweet and loving.
She mentioned it when they first found out that William was dying. I think maybe in a conversation with him. I thought it was more recent though--not when she was in HS.

Kate's friend and poor Miguel get treated so bad. I didn't like anyone in the show last night.

Same! I felt so bad that no one stood up for her when Kevin made that comment. It’s like they’re all scared to say something.

I felt terrible when Toby made Miguel think Kate asked for him. That was so mean!
As for the rest of the show. I agree wasn't anything great. Except the ending. That was the most emotional part. Definitely had me tearing up.

I keep falling asleep during this episode. I remember 30 mins in but then pass out. I hated the way the family acted towards Kate's friend and Miguel. They are a bunch of asssssholes.
I still have to watch the second half. God willing I stay awake!

My husband and I are sarcastic, probably mean people and laugh hysterically at freshness on tv BUT that was awful.
We both turned and looked at each other at the same time and said WOOOW.
Even for us, that was truly mean.

I cant stand Beth- like at all. Randall's voice mail message to her was spot on . I was glad he finally grew a set but that was of course short lived lol

exactly, like finally he gets angry, and deservingly so. Beth was so obnoxiously selfish in this episode. Yes, she should have a right to work and enjoy herself but if the amount she is making doesnt even cover care for her kids, it would almost be more beneficial for her to stay home and do that stuff and emotionally support her husband rather than purposefully causing trouble. and who has a recital like a few weeks into the job?!? that was odd.

I think they separate. It kind of seems like they were apart in the scene with an older Tess at the beginning of the season...
I can understand though why she’s annoyed - because she didn’t want Randall to run for office because the stress it would put on the family.
Yeah there was no purpose for Sophie. I liked them together but I’m glad she’s moved on.

Kevin then immediately goes back to Zoey and says I want you and I'm ok not having kids. Obviously he didn't think it through.
I will say that when Sophie said that Kevin gets what he wants may have been a forshadowing of him trying to win her back? I'm not sure. This show always keeps me guessing!

I don't know why, but I never saw the chemistry in Kevin and Sophie. They seem so different. Also, teenage Kevin isn't like adult Kevin where he's so much more personable. I didn't see any dream to be an actor in him either. Maybe i'm missing something. I see young Randall and Kate exactly like their adults.
Maybe Zoe is good for Kevin since they can both help each other out. Who knows?
Not sure what's going on with Randall and Beth. Leaning towards separating or something? I am looking forward to seeing how they got together. When they are on the same page they work well together. Just haven't been in a while.

ITA! Beth's selfish, high and mighty attitude has been making me nuts all season and this episode put me over the edge. I'm glad Randall finally gave it to her and hope he keeps it up. She always thinks she always has all the answers and no one is as good as she is. UGH!
