I thought it was me. I actually only started watching this show a few months ago on demand. Loved season 1 and 2, but this season, like others have said, it has lost my attention. I't's been kind of dissapointing. They made a big deal about adding in the Vietnam story, but I think it is too much for the show and dragging on. I also find some scenes drag on too much. I will continue to watch it, but season 3 does not live up to the show when it started.
EVERY episode drags and drags and drags in season 3.

I stopped watching after the Jack's death episode. It was so anticlimactic to me that I got so turned off the show. I take shows very personally lol and it let me down.
It really was SO anticlimactic! They went on and on about how he died and how it would be in a way that has NEVER been on TV before and then, smoke inhalation. Big deal. After almost two years of hype it was a letdown.
I think when they created the show all they had that was interesting was Jack. But then they killed him off and now it just feels like the show drags and drags and all they want to seem to focus on is Jack. Which, if that is what they wanted, maybe they shouldn't have killed him off. I feel like now that we are into season 3, the appeal of Jack is less and less. I'd rather focus on the other characters.
Again, thought it was just me. I was surprised how they had him die. It was such a build up and expected more from that. They could have done it better. I think maybe they should have shown the scenes of how they met, like this past week, way before they showed him die. I saw an interview they are only going 5 or 6 seasons and they filmed some final scenes already. I wonder what that the end will turn out.

I like how the time line is all over the place. People keep saying they killed Jack off, but he was dead form the start of the show. We still things we don't know about his life that they can show.
Vietnam is a little slow, but I feel like we are getting to something.
I feel like money is going to become an issue for Randall and Beth, now that they both don't have their high income jobs & have a 3rd child.
Toby has a job- I assume it is sort of a normal job- he isn't struggling, he isn't rich. They live in an apt, not a house, so I think that fits.
I have heard that we learn more about Beth's backstory this season, too.

I liked last nights episode. Brought everything together on how they spent Thanksgiving. Especially Randall's dad and how he met his significant other. They never told that before.
Interested in next week's too. Hopefully get some answers. I like the Vietnam story of Jack, but it's getting dragged out. He's never talked about it before to anyone so interested to hear it.
Finally nice to see Toby and Kate not so dramatic.

I wasn’t expecting it to be this good, but it was. The ending really had so much. And Nicky has been alive. That Nicky story has felt like it dragged a bit, but it sure made up for it last night

We saw that Nicky was alive after the war, but that doesn't mean he's alive now. I kept wondering if that's also a flashback to after the war. Who knows? So many questions still!

I read they hired an older actor to play him in present day, so I am guessing he is still alive. Yes, these finales really leave one hanging.

I was under the impression that Nicky dies on the boat. At least that is what everyone believes. But he probably used it as cover to disappear and escape the war.

I think he'll win, forcing a wedge into their already splintered relationship then they ultimately divorce which is what it sounded like when he asked if she called her mother. I think Nick is still alive and somehow they'll find him. The letter to Jack's parents said he committed suicide in the war (i think)

if they divorce over this then i lose of faith in true love. i thought she was wrong to ask him to drop out. there were no emergencies going on at home. she shouldn't get the final say in his dreams. in normally love Beth but this made me not like her at all. and then to put him on the couch and he just listened!? oh no

I think they hit a rough patch & work it out, like Jack & Rebecca did.
They showed a cabin or trailer or something & mail with his name. Combined with what the local historan in Viet Nam told Kevin, I think he did fake his own death ( either intentionally or took advantage of an opportunity.) He may or may not still be alive.
