My dc goes 1/2 days to a part time nursery program. What is a reasonable time frame to get photos from an event? I have gotten numerous emails with reminders but no photos. Also, how often do you get photos from your child’s nursery program? Thanks

Same. Too many privacy issues or potential ones if parents start posting pictures of other children without their consent.

We were told they were taking photos and they would send them to us via email. They posted a photo on their Instagram this morning of the class but no email from the event last week.

I would just ask the teacher when you pick your child up today or the next time you go

I did ask the teacher and got an excuse and I emailed the director and got another excuse. Just annoyed and trying to see if I am being unreasonable, it’s been over a week.

I think I would let it go. I can’t see this as something t to email the director over.

Did they have an outside photographer for the event? I remember dd's school using a parent with a photography business for some events and it took a week or two to get pics sent home. They may be brushing you off bc it's not in their control.

The school takes the photos.

I would also like to correct myself, I asked the co-director first and then asked the director about the photos since all emails come directly from them, the teacher does not send any emails. The director did send photos today and I don’t think I was asking too much. It was said many times they were taking photos and we would be receiving them.

When my son was in camp this summer, the same thing happened to us. They kept saying they would upload pics from all the activities at the end of the day. Took the teacher 3 weeks to get it going but then after that she was uploading within 3 days

Rarely got photos and I wouldn’t be upset if it took time to distribute photos. I’d assume they are busy with the kids and didn’t have time to send them, no big deal.

This. I would maybe ask the teacher in passing but I definitely wouldn't bother the director.

Re: Photos from Nursery School

We never get photos from an event in either of my two daughter’s different preschool programs. One has recently started to post some on Facebook (with parent waivers) but they are a Catholic school and trying to increase enrollment and online presence. The other school occasionally will print and post a picture on the bulletin board outside the classroom, which I never see because I don’t do pickup/dropoff. It would never occur to me to look for or ask for pictures from any of their special events though.

I'd personally be more concerned that they are taking care of my children rather than spending time sending pictures to the parents. I would let it go. You asked for it and you did not receive it, so that's your answer.

Yes you are being unreasonable. 100% unreasonable. Their job is not to take pictures of your kid and the classes and email them to you.

If you cannot attend an event and take your own pictures, i would become friendly with parents and they can send you pictures. That's what I did.

She is not being unreasonable when the teacher said they are taking pictures and sending them via email

To the OP I would say a week is a reasonable time frame as they are probably doing the sending on their own time.
