Pt Jeff Ferry
Anyone know what the parking situation is at the Pt Jeff ferry. I’m going to Hartford next Friday and a friend is picking me up on the CT so I don’t need my car. I want to leave it on the Pt Jeff side overnight.

Overnight you I think need to pay for a spot? I would call the port Jeff side. I’m not sure if long term parking is resident only. The lot by the ferry is for resident of Brookhaven sticker holders but I do know they have some sort of parking because I’ve seen cars left overnight before, I did it as a resident. Call 631-451- 6100 depending on time of year you can park without a resident pass.

I believe you can pay the meter for as long as your need to be in your spot for. There are a few metered lots. I found this number to call to ask parking questions 631-331-7275.

There is a TOB lot that you need a sticker for or you can park in the metered spots.

Re: Pt Jeff Ferry
It's true that the parking lot next to the ferry is operated by Brookhaven, but non-residents can use the lot for a fee, just like any of the Brookhaven parks/beaches. And because it's after Labor Day I'm not sure there is even a charge anymore.
Cars park there overnight all the time.
