Everyone's favorite question.....
Birthday party for a 3 year old. Saturday in December.
1:30 or 3:30?

3:30....reason being, then I have the entire day up until that time. I'm not a fan of middle of the day parties personally

This was my thought as well. 1:30 makes it hard to do anything else that day. Also, they may be able to count the pizza as dinner, no?
Honestly, both times are crappy, I just need the lesser of 2 evils.
ETA I think some of the kids still nap, too.

I guess I am in tbe minority but I don't do much before 130 on a Saturday anyway. And if I did , I would just skip it if we had a party that day. No need to be running on all cylinders all the time. It's exhausting

I'm the same way. I would rather have obligations earlier in the day that way I have the rest of the day to do what I need.

It's probably because I'm not a morning person. So I really don't get my @ss in gear on a Saturday morning until at least 10 am .
I like to sleep in, sit around and drink coffee in my PJs etc

I feel like 1:30 is an odd time too late for lunch to early for dinner and I would feel like kids won't eat much which I know isn't a big deal but I would feel like I am wasting food

Same! But this is only if it's a Saturday party. For a Sunday party... 1:30.

Generally I'd say 1:30 except we have activities until 1:30 on Saturdays, so then I'd say 3:30. Can I vote for Sunday?

If some of the kids still nap I would go with 3:30.

3:30 - even though my 3 yr old still naps, I would put him down earlier to make it to the party on time. Plus, then he would have dinner there. The 1:30p time slot is too late for lunch and too early for dinner.

I agree!
This , but for me personally the 1:30 edged out the 3:30 because I hate when the kids eat dinner too early and then they are basically looking for another meal at bed time.

Lol - I’m the opposite. Up around 6 on the weekends. I’m at the gym by 7. We’re out running errands by 9:30/10. If we do a family activity, it usually happens from 10:30-1:30. Then we relax the rest of the day!
