After D&C
How long did you bleed for? I feel like today is the first day I haven’t had a pounding migraine and felt like my head was exploding since the surgery and I’m still bleeding, I feel like worse now than the day after the D&C... is this normal? I had it done last Tuesday on 9/18

I would definitely check with the dr. On this. When I had my D&C (it wasn’t for polyps so it could be different) I hardly bled after.

I would think it depends on the person, I didn't really bleed, just spotting for a day or two. I agree with Phyllis though check with your dr.

thanks! I didn’t want to call the emergency line over the weekend, they open at 10 so I’ll call then. I feel like the bleeding should have gotten better not worse! Thanks!

I barely bleed when I had my polyps removed.

The nurse this morning said this is normal. If I keep bleeding past Wednesday I’m going to ask for an appointment because there is no end in sight. I’ve been bleeding since 8/8 and had the D&C 9/18 I can’t take it anymore

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. At least she said it's normal to have bleeding. I agree with you though, I would go in for appointment because something has got to give! Did they mention taking extra iron with all of this bleeding?

They didn’t but that’s not a bad idea. I’ll mention to the doctor. I had to take extra iron during my pregnancy and they just did blood work for pre surgical and said if I was anemic they couldn’t do the surgery until my blood work came back better and I’m assuming it was fine because I still had the surgery but it’s still concerning with all the blood loss. During this whole time I’ve gone through anywhere from 6-8 tampons+ 6 pads a day at it’s worse. Right now I can only use pads since the D&C and it’s about 5 a day
