Any Nurses out there or anyone experience high Liver levels ?

Dr. didn't really give me an explanation, but said liver was high on blood work, last 2 times -

AST 106 normal is 9-40
ALT 113 normal is 5-40

I googled it and didn't find much...

i have high levels....dr said its from fatty liver. However, i had a CAT scan and then an MRI (when that showed a hamangeoma I think) to see...and I'm supposed to go for another MRI since in my last pregnancy I developed Severe Preeclampsia and HELLP (failing liver etc.) syndrome. But I havent done it yet because I'm stupid. :) I would ask them whether or not they think you should at least get an initial scan to see if there's anything on your liver to be concerned about.

Could be from a gallbladder issue too

Could be fatty liver as well. Fatty liver is caused by many things but a main one is insulin resistance and also high sugar levels.
Have you had your sugar tested?

I was thinking gallbladder, had issues a few weeks ago and they went away quickly, few days, so I think it was just a stomach virus.

I do get checked for sugar - am Type 2 Diabetic - working on loosing weight and see what changes besides sugar levels.

Diabetes and fatty liver are definitely closely related so it could be that.
Diet is a big factor in treating it, so see what your doctor says

I had high liver numbers (ast and lft) when I was pregnant. I was dx with cholestasis of pregnancy (bile gets into blood
Stream causing itchiness) : So involves gallbladder. Could be gallbladder related??

Pain under your right rib cage that radiates to your back/shoulder- especially after eating a high fat meal.

Also, less specific digestive problems like acid reflux, gas, nausea etc
