Monthly Health Care Cost
If you pay for your own health care or pay a large chunk toward it can you please share your monthly premiums and if its for you alone, includes a spouse, children etc.
It's time for us to renew our plan and I am basically horrified at what we will be paying this coming year.
Health care charges suck in this country.

Re: Monthly Health Care Cost
For DH and I - I’m pretty sure it’s just under $1,700 a month with $1,000 ded each for hospital visits and any radiology
We need referrals and copays are $30 for PCP and $60 for specialist
We have united healthcare oxford
It was the best option for us. The next one up - would have been $2,300 a month no ded or referrals and copays are a little less.
It is INSANE !
ETA: we are in suffolk county. I think there may be some more options in Nassau

Re: Monthly Health Care Cost
We were paying around $1600 a month for a family of 5, I believe for one of the best packages on CareConnect but they went out of business essentially because they were charging too little. I have heard others paying around $2500 a month for families with 3 or 4 children.

My parents pay $1200 for just them two. It's mind blowing how much health insurance is.

We pay $940 a month. I am on a single plan, DH and DS on a employee + plan. We have large deductibles, mine in 6500, for DH and DS 13000. What we pay per month is the subsidized premium through our employer.

I had CareConnect through my employer. I was so upset they went out of business Now I have Magnacare that seems (so far) to be very similar, but I don't know if it's available on the public market. But it seems like Northwell accepts them, which I'm happy about.

Monthly Health Care Cost
If we had my employers insurance (Cigna self insured) it would be $650 for a family plan win 10% coinsurance and a $4500 deductible per family member. This is the first year my employer did this because of rising health care costs and it has substantially affected many of my colleagues. We have DHs insurance and while our copays are low and he doesn’t pay much- 4% salary towards insurance but we do have an out of pocket (not sure what it is since we don’t get a bill for anything ). All copays are $20 and prescription is anywhere from $2-$5 with the exception of my sons inhalers those are $25 each. We have NYSHIP

It's disgusting what health care has become. I pay high premiums and still have to cover an enormous amount out of pocket to reach the deductible.

Monthly Health Care Cost
I am really lucky -- my job pays a hefty amount of my medical. I contribute $200 a month for my family of 4. We have a deductible on prescriptions of up to $300, and my copay is $30 for PCP and $50 for a specialist. ER visits are more but the company splits the copay if you are admitted.

Monthly Health Care Cost
My husband has a pretty decent health care plan. We pay nothing out of pocket but have an $8000 deductible. After the deductible is paid, there are no charges. His company also gives $3000 back in an HSA so technically we only pay about $5000 out of pocket for the year. It's a PPO so no referrals needed. Dental sucks though and for us that is our highest bills.
