Do you prefer: Comforter, Duvet/Insert, Blanket, something else?
Time to get some new bedding. Not sure what to get. Wanted to see what everyone else uses, and why.

Down comforter with duvet.
I think making a bed everyday is a waste of time so its so much easier when i want to make it look neat (no flat sheet)

Ditto. I don't like the flat sheet either. I feel like I get tangled in it and forget about going to a hotel and having them tucked SO tightly! I hate it. But just a comforter for me. I also have no patience for stuffing a duvet with a comforter.  I'm really lazy.

Duvet and comforter. It’s an easy way to change things up; I can’t commit to a comforter set. I don’t mind putting the comforter into the cover, it’s all I’ve had ever since I threw out my NKOTB comforter set in like 1992.

I went from a comforter to a duvet a few years ago, thinking about how much easier it will be to wash it and also to change it up. Well, after the insert constantly shifting around and DH and I struggling with it every night...we are back to a comforter

Duvet and comforter, although DH insists on still using a flat sheet with it.

I voted comforter because I hate duvet covers. I find them such a pain in the asss to use.
I also have recently been using a blanket and comforter to sleep with.
But when shopping for new bedding I just get a set with a comforter.

We use a quilt because it's lighter and then in the winter when it's cold we have a nice warm Queen size throw blanket that we put on top of it.

Yes! We used to have a down comforter with duvet but it was too heavy and never stayed nice in the duvet. Much happier with a comforter. Last week I got a new quilt for the warmer months bc dh was complaining again about being too hot. I got an all cotton, light quilt and I love it. We'll go back to the comforter in the fall.

Blanket... DH is a furnace and can't have anything heavier.
Plus - with two dogs and a cat who "sneak" up on the bed - I need something that is easy to wash.

Much easier with cleaning. I couldn’t imagine washing an entire comforter every week. Our little dog sleeps with us (sometimes the big one too) and it gets hairy lol
Have to wash it weekly

Quilt. I have a duvet and its a PITA to get it into the cover. I have comforters but never like the material.
I use a top sheet AND I'm a millennial.

comforter and a flat sheet... must have the flat sheet.
if it gets really cold, add a blanket.
and i like the two sided comforters. gives me the illusion that i'm changing things with the season, when all i'm doing is flipping it. that's my lazy.

I used to do a duvet.
Now we do a blanket or just the top sheet. DH and I both hate being hot at night so the lighter the better. We also sleep with the ceiling fan on and window cracked in the middle of winter! Oh and the central AC set at 67 at night in the summer.

Comforter all the way!
When I first met DH he had a duvet. No idea why. It was SO annoying. I would never consider one. Ever. I don't even understand why they exist.

This! I use sheets, yes flat too, I can't fathom why people wouldn't??? Do you really wash your comforter/duvet every single week??? I also have a blanket over the sheets and under comforter.

We use the flat sheet and a comforter. I dislike duvet and won't buy one. When it gets cold in winter I have a fleece blanket that we put over the comforter.

i like comforters better, but i don't use the flat sheet and comforters gross me out since you can't wash them as easily. I use a down comforter inside a duvet and wash it. It's easy to remove the cover and wash it
