Spinoff: LI Weddings funniest/craziest stories
I was in LIW twice. Once from ‘04-‘05 (called off my wedding [thank G-d] a few months before the date) and then again in ‘11. While nothing stands out about my first time on LIW, 2011 seemed very different and more dramatic. What are some standout occurrences from your time on LIW?

I can't remember which photographer it was now but one of them spoke crap about a bride at a show not realized said bride's friend was listening. It turned into a sh*tshow.
Also, we had a bride who had a mini breakdown and called out everyone name by name in a post.
Good times... '13 bride.

08, the chattiest group. I would be up until late hours on there lol. Lots of drama and I remember the Janet but it would be 100+ pages and had no clue what was going on, was she the one faking an illness and wanted $?

I vaguely remember Flowers by Gina went MIA right in the middle of wedding season. They screwed people over left and right. This was either in ‘10 or ‘11. Maybe someone else here remembers and can chime in.

This! It was horrible ! I’m pretty sure it was ‘11 because I got married that year. But it could have been ‘10 (i planned for 2 years)

Crazy!
I was an '11 bride. I don't remember much drama though. I'll never forget a girl who I think it was her sons father was killed by a drunk driver by MacArthur airport. I still think about them when I pass by there hoping her son is doing well!!

Wow really -- that is awful. I was an 09 bride and do not remember any of that.
I do remember Janet. I dont remember her as trying to get money for illness but rather making multiple names and responding to her own posts as other people to create drama. It was crazy.

Just to think how many vendors did so well because of LIW. I wonder if there is a loss in profit being the site is now non-existent. 
Every single vendor I found; including the venue.....was thanks to LIW. 
That site and everyone on it were so helpful!

It all started with my friend's wedding. At least the other brides were able to find another florist.
I walked in the church for my friend's wedding and the MOB told me she didn't show.

The scary part is, she may have legitimately had tooth pain and got the meds on the up and up. And got addicted that way.
It is frightening how quickly you can become physically addicted to narcotic pain meds.
Disturbing actually.
