Yankee Stadium

So Dh is taking the kids to Yankee stadium and we have never been!!

Any tips on parking? Is it a nightmare to get parking or is it easy enough to park - assuming a designated parking lot at the stadium?

DH wants to meet up with some friends outside the stadium before they go in - is this possible? Any landmarks that they could arrange to meet by before they enter the stadium?

Any other tips / advice for first time visitors?

I go for the soccer games, there is a lot off the 161st Street Bridge - it's $35 but right next to YS. There is plenty of cheap parking nearby though, I would just google and book a spot in advance.

As for meeting outside, I would aim to meet either outside the Rock Hard Cafe or you can always meet outside a gate.

I've never parked there- only taken the trains so I can't speak to the parking situation.

In terms of meeting up- you can always say- we'll meet you right outside entrance gate XX. They are all clearly marked.

There is a lot of parking but it's all paid parking in lots and can be expensive.

I haven't been in a couple of years but the lot right next to the stadium was about $40 last time I went.

They might have different prices for the soccer games and other events.

Look at a map online and agree on a gate number to meet at.
