Countdown till 70 Degree Weather
Who else is so excited for a 70 degree weather this weekend. It's the only thing keeping me motivated!!
I wish it will stay. People are saying it feels like Spring, I don't get it because I am still cold, walking around in my NorthFace

It’s been 70 here for about a week. I guess I’ll take that after 5 months of snow...
But, yeah, I still feel a bit cold. The insulation here is great in apartments (no A/C), but it still feels cool to me. But the Germans are all rugged up in their winter coats.

The fact that I had ice on my car to defrost this morning, am still wearing a goddamn winter coat and freezing outside in fuking mid FUKING April is really disturbing.
I just came back from Florida and EVERYONE we met there- from cab drivers, to waiters, bartenders, hotel staff was like Oh yeah, I'm from NY/NJ/LI. I live here now and I'd NEVER go back.
I swear, I wanted to go look at real estate while down there.
The whole mood is different, the whole vibe.
My anxiety and depression were lifted.
Then I come back here to this shit hole.
Not a bud on a tree. Nothing. Nada. All still dead. Just death and gray and dead branches and dead lawns everywhere you look.
So yeah, 70 will be nice, but I bet we'll be back in the 40s by Monday like PSYCH! Just a tease!!

It is depressing, like super depressing. We went running this Sunday and there were no leaves on the trees. Even my DH noticed and said that it was ridiculous. I really want to get away from this cold. So f Ucking over it!!

Same here- mine is usually gone by the end of April, though I think it's dogwood and not cherry blossom, but still. It hasn't even bloomed yet.

I know, I wore my Uggs yesterday (i know i know fashion Faux Pa), but the point was my feet weren't warm.
Today I put on wedge sneakers so I can feel like it was Spring and I was cold and wished i had my Uggs on. I keep thinking i am being dramatic wearing winter coat but it is cold.

I take the LIRR so I have to dress for the weather.
I don't care what I look like. Taking the train is miserable enough and I am going to dress for warmth.
I have been in a winter coat since November with the exception of those couple of days in February that were beautiful.
And I apparently will be back in one next Tuesday when it's not going to get out of the 40s.
On APRIL 17TH.

Exactly, and my commute I have to take either a bus and a train or drive my car to a train and take another train. I have to walk alot and hate being cold.
I signed up for two races in April and I can't believe I have to worry about it being so cold. My poor cousin is coming from Cali and I had to tell him, it can either be 70+ or 38.

I'm near Albany and it is the same deal here. They keep saying on the news that Poughkeepsie and Kingston will be like 70+ degrees and north of that will be 50. Seriously? Last year, I was wearing shorts today (I know this via Time Hop). I can not take this weather any longer!!!

Something is definitely up.
Climate change does NOT mean only global warming.
I feel like in this region we are headed the opposite way.

So I just saw this on FB this mroning and wanted to share with you all what our "70 degree weather" will look like tomorrow.
I am closer to south shore LI- take a look at that temp for 12 noon tomorrow in Sayville.
59!
Break out the shorts and swimsuits!
Oh and they said once 3 pm comes the temps will start to drop.
So we get a few hours of temps in the high 50s and back to bullshitt.

Looking forward to some nicer weather today and tomorrow. Sunday... well, my phone says 41 and rainy. And then in the 40s and 50s for the rest of the week. Ugh. My phone also says that Sunday in Juneau, Alaska will be 51 and partly sunny... and in the 40s and 50s for the rest of the week. Sooooo.... it's pretty sad when your temperatures for the week are more in line with Alaska than not!
