Shooting At Maryland High School Leaves 3 Injured

Three people were injured in a shooting Tuesday at a high school in Great Mills, Maryland, officials confirmed.
Great Mills High School, located roughly 60 miles southeast of Washington, D.C., remains on lockdown and is preparing to evacuate students to nearby Leonardtown High School, a spokesman for the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office told HuffPost.
There is no active shooter and the event has been contained, a representative for St. Mary’s County Public Schools confirmed to HuffPost.

Thankfully they had a SRO who did their job correctly and shot the shooter. Reading 3 injured, including shooter and 1 of them is stable.
My first thought was horrifying because I thought at least it’s ONLY 2 kids..  .. how disgusting that 2 kids being shot in a school and that was my first thought, but it seems inevitable for this to continue.. praying the one who is critical makes it through..
I want to believe this will end, but it’s frightening to feel that it never will.

And CNN is talking about Trump and Russia and blah blah blah....moved on from the shooting already - probably got 5 mins air time.
We obviously need a higher body bag count in order to get air time.
Its disgusting that this nation is basically the wild west and its an acceptable form of life here that going to school is not safe anymore.
This country is a disgrace.

I just heard the shooter is dead. May or may have not killed himself.
I don't know what is needed to get some kind of gun control. No one is saying take guns away just better control on how you can get them.
Also, I think every school should have armed security guards

I think this shows having armed guards will not deter school shootings. The shooters are not encouraged by the gun free school zones like the NRA would have us believe. This shooter went to the school even thought there was an armed guard. As a society we should not accept that two students were shot st school and just be happy more weren’t hurt.
