Flu Symtpoms
I picked my son up from Daycare yesterday and he was totally fine. We then went to the grocery store and he was immediately sick with a headache and low grade fever. Fast forward to last night and he has 102-103 fever. This morning he is still sick.
Would you take him to the doctor to get him tested for the flu or just keep treating the fever? I usually just treat symptoms but now my sister has my nervous he has the flu.

Flu season is winding down, but it is definitely still possible to get it this late. I would probably take him, just to be safe. A few weeks ago my DD was acting not right, and she had a 102 fever, and I took her in just to make sure it wasn't the flu.

Yeah we got flu in mid April one year. You can really get it any time. I would take him in to rule out other things like ear infections, strep etc that might need antibiotics

Re: Flu Symtpoms
It sounds like flu, but I’d definitely still take him to rule out strep or another bacterial infection that would require antibiotics. Hope he feels better soon!

I’d probably wait a day to see how it progresses.
Also, unless he’s uncomfortable, I’d let the fever be. It’s the body fighting off whatever is making him sick.

Exactly this. That fever is actually helping killing whatever bug he caught, u def don't wanna to discourage it.

Flu Symtpoms
I feel there are a ton of fever viruses going around. My dd has gotten 3 bouts in the past 1.5 months. She’s missed so much school i can’t even keep count. Doc says she either is getting the real crappy end of the stick or if it plays out another few times, I’ll have to get her tested. Hopefully your child fares better! So scary to not know what your children are going through.
