The One My Mother Gave Me ;-)

Working status today?
My office closed. DH went into work, and after he got there they closed the office. It took him 2 hours to drive the 15 miles home.

That is the worse!!! That is always my fear since I have a 1.5hr commute in general. Your poor DH.

I chose other because my option wasn't listed.
They closed my office but asked that we all work from home. That is what I am doing.

Working status today?
Office closed at 12 but almost everyone can work or be available virtually i.e., at home. I am working from home, no way was I attempting the LIRR.

He said people on the LIE were just stopping in the middle of the lane to get out of their cars and break ice off the windshield wiper blades. He only rode it one exit and then got off because he didn't feel safe.

Working status today?
I work doing field work. Not permitted to work from home. There was no way I was going in. If I did I would have had to go out on cases. Used a vacation day...

office open, I posted before I got stuck driving home. I hope they close tomorrow. Mostly so I dont have to decide, Im not great with taking a PTO day for this

I went to work yesterday and getting home was a nightmare.. it took me 2 hours, my bus never came so I ended up walking 3 miles home from the train through snow that came up to my thighs. I got home I was wet, freezing, and sore. I called in sick today because my ears & throat hurt, I have a cough and still have a headache. And I didn't feel like going out to deal with single digits temperatures & icy roads.
