Diamond earrings
My mil wants a pair of 1 carat diamond earrings, white gold for her 60th bday. A couple of us are chipping in. I see prices are all over the place. What is the average price and any recommendations where to go? I’m in Suffolk but will travel.
I know nothing about jewelry.

Usually, if you see earrings listed as 1 carat, it's a 1/2 carat per earring for a total of 1 carat

Go to the City for the best price. There's a huge difference in clarity and color, just like engagement rings.

Prices would range significantly based on color and clarity, as well as how much metal is involved in the setting.

like the other ladies said prices vary depending on the stones and setting. I would set a budget and go from there.
