Optimum has raised their bill again
it just pisses me off. They increased the sports channel charge, I dont even watch this channel or want it. :(
To those that say, its just $2.00 more dollars.... my price was suppose to be locked in for 3 yrs. To me that means no changes. $2.00 more dollars here and there...

they wont drop it.. They dont let customers drop channels if they deem it to be part of a package but they can make changes all the time

So if you had a price look for 2 years, I would call up and bitchh.
They shouldn't be raising anything for those 2 years.
That is what a price lock is.
Do you have Fios in your area?

I loathe Optimum!
(That said, I'm sure I'd probably end up hating Fios too - but at least I could make them play against each other. As it is, Optimum knows they have me by the...)

Optimum is the worst! There aren't harsh enough words for me to describe them! The additional fee for the sports is because they negotiated with sports teams to carry them and they then pass that additional cost on to customers. Not to add fuel to an already raging fire, but the are also now charging $5 plus tax to "rent" the modem they gave you for free years ago. At least with the modem, you can go out and by your own and send theirs back. Saves a little $.

Optimum has raised their bill again
FIOS is not all that better. Their bill goes up as well. Call them to see if they can lower and they say well you can drop services. But then you will violate your contract. It is a no win. Gonna drop it all and stream.

we just received a $5 add monthly add on, because they took it upon themselves to increase our internet speed. we only use them for internet because they increase the bill at least once per quarter.

I believe there needs to be a massive walk out or cancellation. One day needs to be picked where people in masses call in at once and cancel services :)

Fios is available by me and I called. To get a comparable package from them it would be about $25 less a month. Not much difference. And comparable meaning less channels!!
They know they have us by the balls. I'm seconds from streaming. I don't even want to admit how much we pay a month. It's practically a small car payment
