United out of Newark?
United out of Newark has decent prices (for winter break) to Orlando in February. Thinking of a last minute trip.
I am wondering what the catch is.
Is United - or Newark for that matter - a nightmare or something?
I don't fly them often - I think I flew them once or twice internationally but I'm not sure I ever flew them domestically.

United out of Newark?
Coming from LI, I would think getting there (especially with $20+ in tolls) would be very inconvenient.

United out of Newark?
I fly United out of Newark a lot and it's great.
I think the "catch" may be that a lot of schools in the area may not have winter break. I know some friends in NJ are only off Fri and then Monday. We're in NY but, Newark is our closest major airport and we're only off Monday-Tuesday.

United out of Newark?
I'm in Queens, and wouldn't go to Newark for a flight. It's just a hassle to get there, and you have to figure in your transportation costs / tolls to and from there.

Re: United out of Newark?
Newark can be a pain to get to... but it’s not horrible. Parking is pretty well organized. Maybe they just opened another flight?
Heck, we’ve flown out of Philly for airfare savings over winter break (it paid off even including tolls, parking for the week AND a hotel at the airport the night before).

Re: United out of Newark?
I live in NJ so Newark is best choice for us. It's not bad at all. Of course with any airline there's always something that could happen to delay. Get there early bc security is a pain in the butt. We use the Parking Spot. There are 3 choices you can use with them and they are reasonable. Always look for a coupon.

United out of Newark?
we live in NJ so fly out of newark a lot- and my FIL was a united pilot for about 30 years, so we fly united a lot. I think it might be because Newark is a United ""hub" airport, so united has a lot of planes coming in and out, so the prices are a little better. United is a fine airline-- for that short of a flight it doesn't matter a ton. and Orlando is a super popular destination, so you're always gonna have some kind of craziness going there anyway LOL If you don't think it'll be too bad to get to newark airport, i would go for it! ( we recently flew out of JFK from NJ to get to orlando because it was "Jersey Week" so all the kids had almost a week off of school and everybody was heading to Disney, so the flights from Newark to orlando were INSANE $$$$)
