More Disney Questions!
My girls are going to be about 6 and 3 when we go to Disney in January..
We are doing MK 2 days, AK 1 day , 1 down day and then Trying to decide between Hollywood Studios and EPCOT for our 4th park day.. What would you recommend?
Or I can pay about an extra $150 ish and get a hopper for the 4 day park pass
Also we booked AofA the little mermaid room for the 4 of us but now I am really nervous that the room will be waaaaay too small.. Any one have any experience?

My boys loved Epcot as there is a lot of hands on things there. Also had all the Nemo stuff which was a hit

The little mermaid room is not any smaller than most of the moderate rooms. You can definitely make it work with 4 of you.
If you have frozen fans than I’d say Epcot for the frozen ever after ride! It was my girls absolutely favorite ride out of all 4 parks. The finding Nemo rides are also fun.

Hs is more for kids then Epcot, IMO. Yes there is the frozen ride and Nemo, but there’s not much else there I just asked my 7 year old and she said Hollywood studios lol

I would do HS. There’s so much more for young kids there than Epcot. They have a lot of interactive shows that were great.

The Disney jr live show is perfect for those ages! And the little mermaid live. And frozen live. Frozen live was my 5 year olds favorite.

I keep reading that most of Hollywood studios is under repair/ construction so there is not as much to do at that park-- is there any truth to the? Anyone experience it lately?

HS is having major contruction right now. With the additions to the Star Wars and Toy Story areas, I would stay clear. It is true that there are cute rides for younger ones such as Toy Story Mania, Disney Jr. Show, Beauty and the Beast show, but unless they really enjoy watching shows, I would suggest EPCOT. EPCOT is more laid back. You can meet the "main" Disney characters one shot, the Nemo ride, Imagination, the Land, and Frozen rides are big hits. There is much more space to walk around and you don't have to stand on line to actually walk around the park (you will see this at MK).
My vote is EPCOT!
If you need any more advice, I travel there at least three times a year, was married there, and have been going since I was in diapers. Ask me anything!

I would say skip the down day and do more parks. As far as park hopper, I like to have it even though I don't use it every day.
We love Hollywood Studios. I don't think the construction matters too much. iMO, the attractions they closed weren't what we wanted to see anyway. I think there is plenty to do there. As an adult, I think Epcot is boring. I'm sure my kids will have fun there, but it's not as great as MK and HS. We will definitely go there to see Anna and Elsa this time though (they were in MK last time we went). Last time we went, I don't think AK was good for us because of the height minimums on a lot of rides. I have to recheck that for this trip. My oldest DD just turned 5.

Little Mermaid rooms are tinyyyyy! I felt like they were way smaller than the other value rooms. They are definitely smaller than a moderate room and only have full beds vs queen.

I just went and I would choose HS. I went last year and stayed in the little mermaid room and it was pretty small, bring those collapsible shelves so you have room for all your clothes.

Little Mermaid rooms are about 277 sq ft. Moderates are about 314 sq ft. Also, the values only have full size beds, whereas most moderates offer queen beds.
ETA: I’d skip the down day and go to all of the parks.

I'll be getting 4 day Florida resident tickets . They don't have a 5 day option. And to get an extra one day ticket would be too expensive to make it worth it ( over $400 for the one day).
I'm considering adding a hopper to the whole 4 days for $100 bucks

Epcot, hands down. Currently, the only draws to HS for that age group are Disney jr or Minnie's Dine at Hollywood and Vine, Toy Story Midway Mania, Frozen sing along, and Disney jr. live.
At Epcot, you have the Frozen ride, Living with the Land, Soarin (for the 6 year old), Nemo ride, the aquarium (The Seas with Nemo & Friends), character meet and greets with classic character, Sadness and Joy, Anna and Elsa, Donald Duck, Snow White, Mary Poppins, Mulan, Belle etc. More dining options, including Akershus where tons of princesses gather. They also have kid cot stations where they kids get a passport to duffy bear signed by people in each country and they can do a craft, etc as well as follow a scavenger hunt map. Plus, you can walk to Beaches and Cream to eat a Kitchen Sink and head back into Epcot easily. Other fun Epcot things include all the cool stores, picking a pearl in Japan, and eating a pretzel the size of their face in Germany. If you take a break and go back at night, Illuminations, the fireworks at Epcot are incredible.
You don't really need a hopper with that age group. Hollywood studios is a half day park for us and my 6 year old loses interest quickly in that park. When Toy Story land opens it will be a whole other story!

There really is a lot for kids at Epcot with the addition of the Frozen ride and character meet and greets. Between the Frozen things and the Nemo/The Seas area, Epcot has become a lot more kid friendly.
