Re: Bachelorette Party wwyd

How close to the bride is this friend? If shes super close, I don't think you can uninvite her to the public festivities without the bride noticing shes not there.

Are there other women staying overnight as well? If you asked them, would they be willing to absorb some of the cost so you don't have to pay for the extra yourself?

Its a tough spot, but like I said, if she's a close friend, I would be weary about telling her she can't come to the rest of it. If shes a fly by night friend, I'd let her have it.

Pretty much do whatever you can to NOT involve the bride and upset her.

Did you plan all the activities?

Since you already told her, what was her reaction?

I agree, don't involve the bride. I also don't feel it's the bridal parties responsible to cover her cost not it is yours. If people commit to something they need to follow through or it not realize the consequences.

If she committed to the overnight and now isnt paying that is really unfair.. I would not however ban her from the rest of the festivities. I dont think she is trying to spend money in front of you while not paying you what she owes you (unless i misunderstood) Sounds like maybe she cant afford the festivities AND the overnight so she figured attended the festivities is the more important part and she would forego the overnight. Still uncool that she committed to it and then bailed. Unfortunately, even though you have a right to be pissed, I would suck it up and allocate her share of the cost of the room among st the rest of the girls who are staying at the hotel and still allow her to come to the rest of the events.
