ISO apartment for my mom
My mom is single and needs a new apartment. She is on a limited budget and would like to stay in the oakdale to bayport area. She'd prefer not to rent an apartment out of someone's house but if she has to, she'd be open to a main floor or second floor (no basement). Anyone know of a decent 55 and older complex with rent under 1500??

Not your targeted area, but Kings Park Manor is a nice 55 plus rental community. I believe 2 bedrooms rent in the $1400 range.

Not in the exact area you are looking, but the Eagle Rock complex in Nesconset starts at $1475 (I don't really know anything about the complex, but it's not 55+. My BIL was looking and I pass by there every day on my way to work, so I had looked it up for him).

Also, my Aunt & Uncle used to live in Greenview Apartments in Islip. It's 55+ and was very nice - but I don't know what the rent is
