Hershey Park at Christmas

I'm only asking this far in advance because it would involve making reservations....

Has anyone done Hershey at Christmastime? Did you feel it was worth it? My oldest dd will be turning 5 in December. If we did a weekend there, it would be in lieu of most of the other Christmasy things going around locally (we have 4 birthdays and a wedding to celebrate, leaving us with pretty much no free time in December) so I want to make sure it's worth it. It would also be in lieu of a kiddie party for my dd. thoughts? Feedback? Tia!

Re: Hershey Park at Christmas

It depends, not all the rides are open, but my kids prefer the roller coasters vs the other rides. But it's really cute for Christmas time, there's a Santa inside the park, and then one inside where the Hershey store is. There's also horse carriage rides, and sweet lights, where you drive through a Christmas lights display. I'm not sure it's worth an entire weekend, but we go every year. We also live in PA so it's closer to only do 1 night.

Hershey Park at Christmas

We went last year and aside from being a tad cold, it was awesome! Tons of rides for my kid and her friend who were 3 and 4. I'd go again just for the hot chocolate that is out of this world!!

My friends went last year. and got lucky with a really warm day. They haven't stopped raving about it. I'd like to try it. We've always gone in the summer.

this probably really depends a lot on the weather you get. My sister went two years ago and it was really cold and she didn't feel like it was worth it.

We go with a group every year. We stay at the lodge and have Breakfast with Santa. The lodge has a package that includes the breakfast, sweet lights, tickets to the park and Hershey gardens. We also go to the museum and make ornaments with chocolate play-doh like stuff. Very cute.

I love staying at the lodge b/c it has restaurants and a bar plus the shuttle that will take you to the park and Hershey gardens. They little water park area is fun for the kids too. We stay 3 days, 2 nights which is part of the package.

Wow. This sounds like fun! Was it expensive?
