Verizon Fios
Who uses them? What do you like and dislike? What kind of package do you have?
After the 2nd Spectrum outage in 2 weeks, I have had it and need to switch! My options are RCN or Fios. Leaning towards Fios, but wondering if there's anything I should be aware of before making the move.

I had it - I don't need a ton of channels, but one thing I didn't like is that they have channels spread out of various packages - kids, sports, entertainment, etc. The deal I got was any 2 packages, but there were a large number of channels that I didn't get b/c I didn't want to pay more for another (I think we got entertainment for History, HGTV, AMC and another that I don't remember, but it meant that I didn't get any kids channels or news).
It was kind of a funky set up meant to encourage you to upgrade to the more expensive option, but I never had issues with cable going out.

I've had them for a few years now. LOVE Fios. Never any service issues, and they are very cool with honoring your price for years.
Our contract was up last fall and the package we had was no longer available, so I got a similar package and they threw in HBO, Showtime, Cinemax and The Movie Channel. My bill remained the same.

This is honestly the one household bill I don't mind paying. Great service, not a lot of $$. Do it!! You won't be sorry.

We have Verizon but it seems every 2 years we have to negotiate something with them because the prices go up. We prefer Verizon over Cablevision though.

We recently switched to FIOS from Cablevision. I'm very happy with the service and the price. It's not really a complaint but I still don't know all my channels, I keep my little channel guide next to the couch.

Really? Ugh. Ours was up, too, but our bill went up for nothing more. They said that was the best we can do. I feel like we pay so much for what we have.
