recommend a bakery (suffolk county)
Looking for a bakery to get a really good cake for a christening. Somewhere near the Stony Brook/Port Jefferson area.

We got a cake for my parents 50th anniversary from La Bonne Boulangerie & it was gorgeous & delicious!!

The best. I have had specialty cakes made by them as well and they are beautiful and delicious.

I agree with both suggestions. My boss used to get birthday cakes for folks in the office from La Bonne -- they were outrageously good. And I got my wedding cake from Audrey's.

Thanks for all the responses! My SIL lives out of state and needs to order a cake for my nephews upcoming christening (which will be here on LI). I sent her the names and phone numbers of all the recommended places... we'll see which one she chooses!

Amazing they did my wedding cake and people are still talking about that cake 9 years later. They have delicious cookies too.

I recently started working in Suffolk and OMG Alpine is amazing! DH drove there to get me a birthday cake because I wouldn't shut up about it.
