We used to go to Bald Hill.
But it's a nightmare getting out of there at the end.

In Nassau, I think Nickerson Beach has them. Long Beach has a show the Friday following July 4th. Rockville Centre does a show toof but not sure if it's on the 4thouse or weekend.

In my neighborhood all you need to do is look up. Every single direction for the past 4 years the fireworks show is non stop. Don't know where everyone gets them from (these are all private parties). But it is better and easier than any show I could go to.

Unfortunately I think anywhere you go on LI, is going to be a mess of people.... it's one of the reasons why I want out... we actually now just go down our block where one house puts on a spectacular show... it beats fighting the crowds.

Sad, but true.
One day about a month ago we had an unseasonably warm Saturday and all we wanted was some Ralph's ices after dinner and we drove to 3 Ralph's and all had lines about 30 minutes long.

Memorial Day weekend i needed some booze and the liquor store had a line wrapped around the store twice.

Both times I left in disgust.

Forget about anything on holidays like 4th of July fireworks, the Air Show at Jones Beach, Christmas events. parades, all that stuff in Patchogue like Alive after 5, the food festival or even getting into Toast for breakfast after 7 am on a Sunday.

Long Island is just too over populated and crowded. It takes the fun out of EVERYTHING.
