Cheeto asked Comey to drop the investigation of Flynn!
Can you say obstruction of justice !?!?!? Apparently Comey wrote a memo about it back in February. Seriously makes me so angry every day! Time for Congress to drop all the party line crap and get on board with defending the Constitution

Is anyone really that surprised by all these revelations about Trump? He showed us exactly what a piece of sh!t he is not only during his campaign, but through his entire professional and personal life.
The GOP isn't going to do squat until 20MM Americans lose healthcare and the rich get their tax cut. Until then it's just "disturbing" news to these holier than thou "patriots".

There is no 4D chess playing here. He doesn't get that being the POTUS is not like being the CEO. As a CEO, he can layoff millions of people, or declare bankruptcy, or cheat on his taxes with little blowback or consequences. that's the perk of working in the private sector. There, he is is King and his word is the last one.
As POTUS, there are others, equal and equally terrible Others to contend with. Like, Nations. Like the 2 other coequal branches of the governments and their minions. Every word, every action he takes will have immediate blowback and consequences. He is not King, nor is his the last word.
By now, he should get this. But he doesn't, and/or he won't. Worse, there is nobody to re-educate him otherwise. Jared and Invanka are hopelessly clueless about intergovernmental strife and international intrigue. McConnell and Ryan only care about their regressive agenda. McMaster clearly doesn't have POTUS attention.
Trump will either be impeached or resign. At this point, Pence looks better.

Unfortunately he is never going to be impeached - at least not impeached and removed.
Definitely not before the new Congress in 2019 but even after that the chances will be very slim.
House Republicans have made it clear that party is before country so Dems would have to flip the house to bring about articles of impeachment. It's possible, although not highly likely.
Even in the event that that happens, 67 Senators need to vote to convict. Right now it's 51-49 so assuming everyone votes along party lines, Dems would have to turn 18 seats, which is not going to happen because unfortunately not enough Republicans are up for reelection. Senators serve 6 year terms and 1/3 of the Senate is up for reelection every two years. It's mostly Democrats up for reelection. So it's possible to flip the Senate for a simple majority which would be great for legislative purposes, but Dems won't gain 18 seats.
Progressives need to focus on flipping Congress in 2018 and then the fight for 2020. Trump's supporters are mostly doubling down so we cannot count on the thought that "he can't be reelected." If we can flip the House and maybe even the Senate, we can block his loathsome agenda, salvage progressive ideals, and - when he's unsuccessful - hopefully cause enough of his supporters to realize he's a failure and needs to be a one term president.

He better hope Comey is lying, which I HIGHLY doubt, or he's done. He will not survive this. Nixon didn't. Neither will he.

I tend to agree with JennP. Even if he is impeached, which is unlikely given the GOP majority in both houses, it is highly unlikely that he will be removed from office and will instead be censured or some other hand-slap.
Also, I think if Pence is made president, he will be stable, give the GOP exactly what they want and will ensure the GOP's success in elections going forward. With Trump, these crazy plans are getting thwarted because of Trump erratic behavior. If Pence is president, we will be forced to look at Pence and Ryan's smiles at photo ops while they dismantle our great country.

I heartily agree with your ideology but unfortunately the Republicans in Congress seem to be consistently minimizing Cheetoh's actions.
Additionally, Congress during Nixon had a Democratic majority in both houses. His support had eroded at that point and conviction was all but certain. Trump enjoys far more support than Nixon did - for reasons I do not fully understand and I'm sure psychologists are debating.

There was some commentary this morning that if the special elections coming up go to the democrats that may lead more republicans to stand against trump. I know I'll be supporting democratic candidates in those elections. I think one is this month.
