Help me find a show to watch
What's a good recent drama with likable characters that I could get into?
I really only watch Homeland, the Affair, and now This is Us.
For reference, I enjoyed Six Feet Under and Sex and the City. The Sopranos was ok - a little two much misogyny for me. Downton Abbey might be my favorite show ever but that might be an anomaly because I normally don't care for historical fiction.
(Since I need to reference old shows you can see how little TV I watch!)
I tried House of Cards but I couldn't get past the fact that everyone was an a$$hole lol.
OITNB got dull after a while. I did not get past the first season.
Homeland is pretty much my favorite show.
Nothing supernatural please - no vampires, zombies, time travel, etc.
I was thinking Scandal? Or Divorce with SJP?

Help me find a show to watch
I love Scandal, but I wouldn't say the characters are exactly likable. I love the show, but I have to say I can barely tolerate the main character, Olivia Pope. Most of the characters are a$$holes, but it is about D.C. so that is to be expected I guess! But the actors are great!

I watched a show last week I really liked.
You Me Her. It's one full season and I think 5 episodes into season 2.
It centers around a three-way romantic relationship involving a suburban married couple.
I love all the characters. And the husband and wife are pretty funny.
It's interesting to say the least

Regular TV...highly recommend Shades of Blue

If you loved Downton Abbey, try Call the Midwife on netflix. I binged that after Downton ended and loved it.

Older seasons of Scandal were good, now not so much. Same as Grey's Anatomy. Both shows are pretty lame recently.

Help me find a show to watch
My favorite show right now is Big Little Lies so that one would be my #1 rec. The Man in The High Castle is great too, both seasons! Another one that is also worth watching is The Missing, I was obsessed with the first season, I haven't checked the 2nd season yet. Netflix has some great series too but the only one that I'd recommend to u is Bloodline, because the other ones that I've watched (which btw are great too) have something to do with time traveling or supernatural stuff, lol!

Help me find a show to watch
Loved the first few seasons of scandal but I eventually lost interest.
Shameless is great. The characters are likeable despite the fact that they're sometimes terrible people lol.
Game of Thrones. Never thought I'd get into it but it's great.

I know you said no zombie, but have you considered Santa Clarita Diet w/ Drew Barrymore? It's a comedy on Netflix. There are some gory moments so if that's the issue, I'd forget it. I love all things zombie, but found it a bit tame. I really enjoyed the comedy aspect.
I also really like The killing on Netflix. I agree with a lot of the suggestions you've already been given.
