Does anyone know if it will be a heavy snow or a light snow like it was last time.
ABC said it would be heavy. In fact I think it was Bill Evans that said yesterday to make sure you shovel every hour because if you wait till it stops you will have a hard time.

Yeah this is not looking to be any good...
Update snowfall totals across the region. Widespread amounts of 8 or more inches of snow. Latest guidance suggests these totals may need to be increased. If you are in the darker yellow/orange some will see more than 12 inches, dependent on banding. Strong winds will lead to blizzard conditions.
I'm thinking no school tomorrow....

I already decided not to send DD even if they are open. They'll likely have an early dismissal and I don't want her on the bus on bad roads.

Tri-State Weather update:
-Models are not backing off and if anything increasing totals. We are sticking with our 6-10 inches for most with 10-14 in the heavier bands which no one will know within the mile where it will set up
Expect possible thunder snow. 1-3 inches snowfall rates.
Snow will start well after midnight.
Roads will be a mess.

Target was pretty crowded just now- I went on my lunch break for non snow related stuff that needed- but not unbearable. Self check out was quick.
I can imagine the Armageddon at the grocery stores today as people stock up on the snow bread and snow milk.

I actually lucked out, it wasn't bad when I went. I was in and our pretty quick. I HAD to go though, I've been home for days because my kids have been sick so the house was empty. A snowstorm is no fun with an empty house. MUST have junk food!!!

I love baking and cooking and I literally couldn't make anything. I even had to ration eggs so dh would have breakfast for Monday morning.

i had my car inspection and a rot canal scheduled for tomorrow morning right before a 12 hour work day!
no way am i driving to glen cove from queens for my car- im going to tokyo next week. i reallllly hope i can get it done before the end of the month
root canal is still on  ( no pain at all, lets hope specialist says just a filling )
and work.. of course we are open . every patient said "MAYBE" fml fml fml

Snow Storm coming Thursday
Just got the text alert that our Catholic school in Nassau is closed tomorrow. All 5 of my kids home tomorrow, and DH will most likely have to go to work. I have stomach pains just thinking about it. LOL
