actually I have more than half a brain you on the other hand clearly don't. Your fixed version is nothing close to what your original version was. There was no other way to interpret what you what then exactly how everyone interpreted it to be.

So two things........one, thank you, Karen. I disagree but thank you for sharing.
Two: Jessie, I have said in many other posts is what I feared in Trump is not terrorists or terrorist attacks (but nice segue into that and then throwing yourself under the proverbial bus that you were driving, that WAS impressive). Anywho....what I feared was that he was a racist, bigot, misogynistic....etc and people telling me I was wrong about that, about him. Even though he was backed and HAILED by the KKK, that I was still wrong and THEN he goes and appoints Bannon and to me, it shows his true colors. I fear for people in marginalized communities, instead of gaining rights adn acceptance, hate will be given a voice and a platform......and so far, it has.

I wanted to explain why I am afraid. By permitting someone who wrote and directed a newspaper that is unabashedly anti Semitic, to have the ear of the President Elect, he is lending credence to people who literally want me dead. They don't care what kind of person that I am. That I volunteer in my community, or donate to veterans, or volunteered for thousands of hours in the hospital. They don't care that I helped draft laws to put away sex offenders or helped all Americans have less expensive utility bills. They don't care about me. They just see Jew and want me and my family dead. Bannon gives a voice to hatred, to xenophobia, and bigotry. He legitimizes people whose hate for something I cannot change about me. So for all of you who do not and have never had someone hate you for something that you can't change and cannot fathom how I feel, I am sorry for you, but I am more sorry for myself and my family. Because your inability to understand my fear may very well cost me unspeakable harm should those who are bigots win.

Thank you. I feel the same way being of Jewish heritage. It is literally sickening to think it's come to this in our nation. When are people going to wake up??
Oh but I shouldn't mention Dump's orange skin because it's not nice to make fun of his appearance. I am SO sick of this hypocritical bullcrap.

For the record, since you can search posts on other pages from said person, there is a FB post by her yesterday at 10:15, asking someone "how bad is Bannon really?" Followed it by saying, Ive been hearing bad things about him so I just wanted to get more info.
Point - people should not post about things which they do not understand and turn to FB for info on.

That's the key, though. We keep getting baited and aggravated by people who are ignorant, uneducated, and unmotivated to learn from real (non fb) sources. People who shoot off their mouths without having anything to back it up or learn anything.
One of our country's goals for the next four years should be to strip the credibility and ability to waste our time and energy from people like that and focus on engaging with smart, motivated people from the entire political/ideological spectrum.
Otherwise, we're just jousting with windmills. And that doesn't make anything great again. ;) It just distracts us.
Thank you to the informed Republicans who have responded to the "I'm waiting" posts. The ones who aren't trying to bait and divide.

Agreed. There's a list of 'news sites" that I immediately roll my eyes at as sources. That includes both left and right ones.
And yeah, asking someone "how bad is bannon really?" instead of doing research yourself is kinda the same thing.

I think there is more fear and hate and being butthurt now without even allowing them to start to turn this country around.
If you all preach love and unity, then try and start with your own lives and by fueling the fire, it is not making it any better.
Ok. Here is a more loving way I thought of looking at the situation. I think there is great value in trying to understand why his supporters voted for him.
So, why'd you do it? Why does this man seem like the answer to you? Do you want change, however and whatever change that is? Is that why both Don and Bernie were appealing? Bc they are very different in my mind. to me, Bernie is love and Don is hate, but they could both be seen as anti establishment/"change" I suppose.
Because I don't really think the problem is Donnie. The real issue to me is why did the people elect him.
They elected him as there was NO way they wanted a criminal, corrupt person who people have SEEN what she has done in the last 30 years with and to this country.
People do NOT want politicians anymore. They don't want groomed debaters who are told what to say and have no mind of their own. They don't want fluff and political correctness. They want someone to tell them like it is. People have become too soft. We need to harden up and take care of business. HRC has not taken care of business. She has taken care of lining her own pockets and trying to rise to power on our expense.
. So people would prefer unpolished buffoons with minimal knowledge of government ?
